Truth Is Needed for Love

Here is why basic respect and truth should come *before* love in relationships… the illusion of love may persist when there is disrespect, deception, or dishonesty interwoven into the relationship and it hasn’t been resolved. If a person truly loves another, they will cherish, appreciate, respect, and have hard conversations revealing all truths, because the partner is worth every bit of it.

Often a person might believe, “My partner can’t handle this truth”, which is a projection, rather than admitting, “I don’t want to tell the other partner about this truth out of the fear around what might happen.” I.e., it takes some initial balls to put truth as a virtue #1 all of the time, and once it becomes consistent, no matter the consequences, the person is living a true, honest life; there is liberation and more fears dissolve away, because everyone knows when that person speaks and communicates, it’s from a pure place.

However, the unconscious in that person might also be deceiving oneself attempting to be as pure and truthful as possible, so even when trying to be as honest and pure as possible, the person might not have full perception and clarity over a situation. When truths are hidden or not revealed over time, eventually, they have a way of coming out at some point. Avoiding communication lowers the frequency of the relationship, and both will feel it even if they don’t have the specifics of what is hidden.
