Prey animals get eaten by predators in the wild. – Should that make us feel bad?
Despite what that egg carton says, chickens and birds by nature, are not vegetarians or vegans, they eat all sorts of meat(snakes, bugs, worms, small rodents) as well as seeds, grains and fruit. Squirrels eat some meat too, along with nuts, fruits and veggies, despite propaganda that this was only recently “observed” behavior.
We are the only species on this planet that is made to feel guilt and shame around butchering animals to support our own health. But we don’t have to feel guilt and shame.

Technically a person can “survive” by which I mean, that they may get enough calories to stay alive, on a vegan or vegetarian diet but most don’t thrive longterm and may eventually succumb to disorder(s) caused by malnutrition, as well as have hormonal issues if they are consuming soy and flax.

Vegetarians at least can eat eggs, and drink raw milk, if it suits them – and they would get so many more nutrients, healthy fat and protein this way.

Vegans absolutely would need to supplement the nutrients they are missing out on if they want to avoid the inevitable poor health outcomes that would otherwise await them. But synthetic vitamins and minerals may come with another list, “inactive ingredients” that could potentially cause other harms down the line.

Side note: Someone who looks overly well fed, such as an obese person, is a malnourished person, that’s why they remain hungry and keep eating. Their body is searching for the missing nutrients. It’ll keep signally the person to eat until the needs are met. Another way to say this that those who are obese are usually eating too many foods that are devoid of minerals, nutrients, amino acids, and loaded with sugar.

It’s not about counting calories, it’s about taking an honest look at the NATURAL nutrition content of natural foods, and avoiding as much as possible the need to compensate for a unbalanced diet by using synthetic vitamins and nutrients.

– By the way cows produce more milk (naturally) than their calf can drink. – How do I know this? Because I’ve worked on farms and spoken to farmers. Where did humans get the idea to eat eggs? Most likely through watching chickens eat their own eggs, after two of three days, when the egg has not been fertilized by a rooster.

I was vegetarian for two years and the whole time was pressured into becoming vegan because well, vegetarian wasn’t “good enough” or so I was told. When I was vegetarian I had no energy. – Later found out I had narcolepsy. I was sleeping for 4-5 hours in the middle of the day, in addition to long hours at night.
Sticking to mostly meat has changed my life for the better, I know longer need excessively long naps to function, and yes, I am mindful of where I source my meat from. I know my farmers.

“Animals are sentient beings” – But so are plants, and also everything else in the Universe. Plants and animals are considered 2nd density consciousness and though most humans are at a third density consciousness, this is not meant to say humans are “greater than.” All life is ever evolving.

Second density if defined as: (2D) plant and animal life, where consciousness first experiences will, passion, drive, pain, or pleasure. – Yes, plants do have feelings, and feel pain too and they communicate extensively, as any traditional indigenous person would tell you.

Nature has its ways and it’s best to live in close harmony, realizing we are part of nature’s rhythms. People’s disconnection from the land coupled with Industrial agriculture is a problem.
Predator animals typically have binocular vision, which allows them to accurately judge distances and depth, essential for hunting. This type of vision is characterized by forward-facing eyes that provide a wide field of overlapping vision. We humans have the facial and eye structure of a predator species, as do canines, felines, chickens, snakes and many other creatures.
Who’s life is more valuable? The lion or the antelope? That’s an impossible determination, or at least it should be. But the lion eats the antelope. Wolves feed on deer and other prey animals. These are facts of life. When the body dies, it feeds the trees and grass and the prey animals, like antelope, eat the grass.

Some humans think we are so far removed, “so spiritual” that we should avoid eating meat because “we don’t need it.” But we do in fact need to eat at least some animal protein for good health, because if one is vegan, they will need to supplement anyway to ensure they are getting all the nutrients required to thrive. So, another way to say that is a vegan diet does not naturally provide all required nutrients for a human life to thrive. Supplements come from factories – from Lord only knows where in the world.

Ask yourself, if you were in the wild, by yourself, could you survive on the diet you currently have? That means, would you find anything resembling your current diet in the wild? Would it give you enough calories to face a harsh physical experience for a few days?  Could you feed and shelter yourself until you found you way back to civilization?

Vegans in particular, owe their choices to modern inventions, food processing and worldwide transport. Tofu, is perhaps the oldest meat substitute that exists in the world, but it wasn’t being produced in the U.S. until around the 1960’s. Without worldwide trade, industrial processes, and synthetic vitamins, being vegan would not be easy for many who adhere to this austere diet.

Though I know a couple of vegans personally, who are not slanderous, the vast majority I’ve met will often call other humans, who are not vegan, murderers, among other things. This is quite sad for their group as a whole.

I did one time meet a vegan who was reflective upon the harm she unintentionally caused her house cat by trying to feed it a vegan cat food.- I can’t even imagine what the ingredients were.

Anytime someone believes they are “holier than thou” there are going to be problems, and yes, there is such a thing as a Spiritual Narcissist. The mindset is baffling to think on one hand a person is called names by certain groups, to shame them about their dietary choice, to eat animal products. The term “Speciesism” is a shaming tactic. Shaming tactics are used to manipulate others into doing the will of someone else.

If you were to transpose this, and think of this in the context of a religious cult, shame(name calling, shunning, sarcasm, expressing disgust) is one of the greatest weapons a cult has to keep you from leaving or questioning things, it goes along with them gaslighting one’s personal experiences to keep it’s members compliant.

So I ask again? who’s life is more valuable? The lion or the antelope? What about the antelope versus the vegetation it eats? All life is equally valued in the eyes of Creation, even the plant life.

People may think they are consciously(spiritually) superior to a lion, but the lion doesn’t pollute its environment, nor does it let anything go to waste, or rather, the ecosytem lets nothing go to waste. Everything has its purpose. The lion does not question it’s existence because it must take the antelope’s life.

Lions don’t hunt for sport, they hunt for food. The prey they end up with are the weak, the slow and the old. By the nature of the lion existing and hunting they are making the herd, of the prey animals they hunt, stronger and smarter. Think Darwin, survival of the fittest. The lion doesn’t suffer from an identity crisis.
Also, they are preventing the overgrazing of lands by a surplus of herbivores, therefor preserving land for future herbivores. When there are too many herbivores and not enough land to keep them fed through the winter, masses of them will starve, so nature-built in predators to keep a balance. The predator’s existence keeps the prey animal’s population in “check.”
The antelope does not questions it’s value because it’s must consume plant life. The plant’s do not questions their purpose because they feed on nutrients from the soil, even though some of those nutrients may come from decaying animal carcass and let’s not forget, there are some carnivorous plants.
If we were out in the jungle,  a giant snake would not hesitate to grab one of us for their lunch, if they were hungry.

If people only knew all the chemicals it takes to protect soy (the main source of imitation meat) and other grains- from the prey animals who would love an easy feast, they might understand it is no easy feat. Yes, even organic soy requires the farmer create an inhospitable environment for those animals who might otherwise like to graze the field freely.
I think it helps when you have worked on farms, spoken to real farmers. A lot of land is not suitable to grow crops. But large swaths of land can naturally feed sheep, chickens, goats, bison, cows, which in turn, can feed people.
Many humans tend to mentally remove themselves from natural cycles. Easy to do, when you don’t have to grow your own food. Modern cities can only exist because the farmers feed the city dwellers, they labor in the fields, raising crops and feeding animals, working long hours for little pay. Thank a farmer!
Eat a balanced diet. – Your balanced diet will not look the same as someone else’s. Don’t fall into the erroneous belief that you have to become vegan or vegetarian to ascend or be “spiritual.”
People with diabetes, Crohn’s Disease, epilepsy and narcolepsy often do well on Keto or carnivore diets – their symptoms may go away completely in some cases. – Would you consider them less evolved because these diets are what help their body to function well? Overall, Don’t judge, or assume you are more or less advanced.
Make sure you don’t develop a Messiah complex. – Keep your ego in check as your abilities/skills change. Humble yourself to learn. Seek TRUTH in all things, instead of wanting to be “right” which leads to arguments within yourself and with others.
Lion King Quote:
“Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
But dad, don’t we eat the antelope?
Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eats the grass. And so, we are all connected in the great Circle of Life.”
